In Manipur over 50 varieties of international class oranges are produced but due lack of adequate transportation and infrastructure the state has failed to manifest its potential.
The singer has visited the Northeast region on several occasions however this will be his first visit to Manipur.
The five-day long festival will also feature various entertainment and sporting events like Kayaking, apart from the usual orange harvest competition.
