The Automobile giant Audi is working on the 2nd generation of Q5 SUV. If reports are to be believed then the second generation Audi will be launched in India by the end of 2017.
The latest second generation Audi Q5 will compete with cars like Mercedes JLC, BMW X3 and Volvo XC60. Audi Q5 was last seen during the Paris Motor show 2016.
Those who have witnessed the car before have spotted similarity Audi Q5 and Audi’s Q7 model.
The Audi Q5 is built in Volkswagen’s MLB EVO platform; this was the same place where Audi Q7 and A4 were also manufactured.
Interestingly, the cabin of Q5 is similar with Audi Q7. The latest car has been clubbed with various facilities which include 8.3 infotainment system, MMI interface, bang and olufsen sound system and 12.3 inch virtual cockpit.
According to the reports, new Audi Q5 will be available in two diesel and one petrol engine in international market.
For Indian market, the Audi Q5 might be available in 2.0 liter petrol and diesel engine with 252PS and 190PS power figures respectively. Transmission duties for both the engines are likely to be given to a 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox.
